Garcia v. Creative Renovations

In August 2016, six laborers and carpenters filed a lawsuit in New York state court against Creative Renovations, a residential and commercial construction and renovations contractor. The Plaintiffs allege that, although they performed non-exempt manual labor and carpentry work, they were misclassified as “independent contractors” and, as such, were paid daily rates which did not include overtime premiums and did not receive wage notices and wage statements as required by law.

This case is still in the early stages of litigation. If you worked for Creative Renovations, if you are interested in learning more about this case, please contact our office at (212) 385-9700 or by e-mail through our website inquiry form.
