In January 2016, four employees of Salsa Con Fuego, a restaurant and nightclub in the Bronx, filed suit in federal court in Manhattan. Plaintiffs allege that they worked significant “off the clock” work for which they were not paid, had hours shaved from their wages, did not receive overtime when they worked more than 40 hours in a week, and were not paid the correct minimum wage.
In August 2016, the Court granted Plaintiffs’ request for conditional certification as to all bartenders, servers and bussers who worked at Salsa Con Fuego at any time since January 31, 2013.
